New Prescriber Regulations

As part of our commitment to your
safety and high standards of care,
we want to inform you about recent regulatory changes introduced by the
Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) regarding prescribing in aesthetics.

What’s Changing?

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has announced that from 1st June 2025,
remote prescribing for non-surgical cosmetic medicines will be
banned.

All nursing and midwifery prescribers must now conduct face-to-face consultations
before prescribing treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections or emergency kit items.

What This Means for You:

You will now be required to have an in-person consultation with a registered prescriber (doctor, dentist, or nurse prescriber) before any prescription only medications (POMs) can be administered. This incudes: anti-wrinkle injections, vitamin B12 injections, elective dissolves etc.

This consultation ensures a full clinical assessment, including medical history, suitability for treatment, and a personalised treatment plan.

Only after this assessment can a prescription be issued, and treatment safely provided.

Nurse Prescribing Clinics:

We will be offering several clinics each month to ensure you are able to meet with our lovely prescribing nurse ahead of your appointment. We will release dates each month on our stories. You are also able to book via Fresha.

All consultations with our nurse prescriber are £30. This is payable directly to her not via Ines Medics. Your treatment price will remain unchanged.

At Ines Medics we fully support and comply with these updated regulations to provide you with the safe, legal, and expert care you deserve. Hopefully these measures and changes are temporary within our clinic. Nuala is an NMC registered nurse and has plans to do the non-medical prescribing course (NMP). This will ensure that we are able to offer a more
streamlined and efficient service whilst keeping patient safety
at the heart of everything we do.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about how this affects your upcoming treatments.
